Bell Wine & Spirits has been serving Washington, DC since 1933. After being purchased in 1955 by the Luskin family, they operated and grew the business for the next 52 years, building a large, sophisticated, and very loyal customer base. In 2007 Bell began a new era in its storied history when prominent Washington attorney, wine enthusiast, and dedicated husband and father, Carlos Nalda, purchased the business. Since then many changes have been made, all with you, our loyal customers, in mind. Many upgrades to the showroom floor and the installation of the second floor tasting room enhance the shopping and tasting experiences here at Bell. The new management team is ready to answer all your questions and help you make the right choices for your celebration, holiday, or simply what to have with dinner decisions. Manager, Brian Leger, brings over 15 years of experience in restaurant and wine sales experience along with an irrepressible enthusiasm about the wine industry. His knowledge and expertise are top notch, and always available to our customers. Another prominent figure here at Bell is Vic Bodanyi. Vic is well-known within the wine community, having worked in the industry for ten years, traveled to wine growing areas around the world and being a full-time aficionado, he is always ready to share his knowledge and understanding. But no matter who you work with or talk to at Bell, our entire staff is knowledgeable, able, and eager to serve your needs.

We specialize in our own direct import wines that we've discovered in our travels. These excellent and distinctive wines may not have been recognized by the wine critics and reviewers, but we know you'll enjoy their taste the thrill of being able to pick up these exclusive wines at Bell. Our sales volume allows us the ability to buy in quantity and offer you popular selections at excellent prices.

Bell hosts regular tastings every Friday evening, from 5:00 to 8:00, every Saturday from noon until 4:00, and there is our signature Grand Tasting the last Wednesday of each month, also from 5:00 to 8:00. Our Grand Tasting events are a wonderful opportunity to taste across a large selection of wines, and depending on the theme we may showcase a particular region or country, or we may mix it up and feature individual importers, distributors, or producers, at or within each tasting table. Bell hosts regular tastings on Fridays from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturdays from noon until 3:00 p.m., and there is our signature Grand Tasting the last Wednesday of each month from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Our tasting events offer the opportunity for customers to taste across a large selection of wines and "try before you buy." We also hosts other events including beer and spirits tastings, wine dinners and private tastings in our upstairs Tasting Room..
