Aroma: This has a lot of tropical fruits and peaches on the
nose, as well as some fun floral aromas. Big bright flowers not shy ones.
Taste: It is tart and not overly sweet. This is an
entry-level Riesling for Selbach, and those can often be a little too sweet and
cloying. This one, however, hit some nice notes. It was definitely acidic, full
of all sorts of lemons and citrus, peaches, and tropical fruits. The wine fills
your mouth, which is a nice change from some watery Rieslings, and was
fruit-forward.
This is a food-friendly wine and all that acid will go
nicely with gamey bird and spices.
