2005 Long Depaquit Chablis Moutonne

This is perhaps the ripest wine among these 2005s with exotic yet beautifully elegant aromas that are both stylish and complex while leading to impressively scaled and strikingly rich flavors blessed with ample dry extract and simply stunning length. This is a powerful yet balanced wine that is still finding its center and despite the elevated ripeness, there is plenty of Chablis character on the finish, particularly iodine and seashell notes. A serious and structured effort. BH
