The 2007 Arte (90% Nebbiolo, 10% Barbera) is a dark, sumptuous beauty endowed with layers of blackberries, sweet spices, and minerals. Though still rather firm, the wine possesses superb balance and a long, impeccable finish. Espresso, menthol, licorice and leather add complexity on the close. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2022. -AG
