2005 Esmonin, Frederic Gevrey Chambertin Lavaux St Jacques Rouge

A background touch of wood frames the very ripe though still elegant upper register red pinot fruit aromas that give way to full, sweet and somewhat bigger and more robust medium plus weight flavors that offer good depth if less overall finesse. There is more muscle and punch here and this is very Gevrey in character and style. Very solid quality and also recommended. BH
