WineCommune Fee and Commission Schedule

Listing Fees

A listing fee applies to each lot posted or relisted on WineCommune:

If the lot is a dutch lot, the listing fee will be calculated based on the total value of items offered. For example, if the lot contains 10 items at $100 each, the listing fee will be calculated using an opening bid price of $1000. In that case the listing fee will be $1.50 total. If 10 items are being sold starting at $2 each, the listing fee will be calculated using an opening bid price of $20. In that case the listing fee will be $0.50 total.

The listing fee is due whether or not the lot sells. If an item doesn't sell, however, and is subsequently relisted and then sells, the listing fee for the relisted item will be refunded.

Reserve Fees

If the item has a reserve price, a reserve fee equal to the listing fee will also apply that is refunded if the item sells. The reserve fee is payable if the item does not sell.

Final Value Fee

New final value fee schedule effective December 15, 2008: If your item sells, you will be charged a final value fee on the total sale. The fee is calculated as follows:

• 5% of the first $150
• 3% of the amount between $150.01 and $750
• and 2% of any amount over $750

Final value fee schedule effective March 20, 2006: If your item sells, you will be charged a final value fee on the total sale. The fee is calculated as follows:

• 5% of the first $50
• 3% of the amount between $50.01 and $750
• and 2% of any amount over $750

In a dutch item, the final value fee is calculated for each item that sold.

The final value fee is only payable if your item sells. Further, sellers will not be charged the final value fee if a buyer fails to go through with the transaction. Contact us with the item number and a brief narrative of what happened to apply for a credit.

Optional Feature Item Fees

When you post an item for sale, you have the choice of selecting several optional featured services. These services will feature your lot at various placing on the WineCommune website.

1. Feature your auction on the category page. This will place your auction at the top of the category page for the varietal. This option is $5.00 for the duration of your listing.
2. Feature your auction in the search listings. Your item will come up at the top of the page for all searches that include your item in the results. This is $5.00 for the duration of your listing, or if you choose any of the other featured options, add featured search for only $2.50.
3. Bold your auction. Put the title of your auction in bold for only $1. Make sure your item stands out from the other lots.

Featuring your item is entirely optional. These fees are due whether or not your item sells.
